A Shopify marketing agency should know the platform as well as it knows the channels. Shopify handles hosting, checkout and payments very well, but it does not bring you customers, and its defaults create a handful of predictable problems: duplicate product paths, thin collection pages, filter URLs that waste crawl budget, and tracking that double counts purchases once a few apps each add their own pixel.
We work with Shopify and Shopify Plus stores that already sell and want to grow without buying revenue at a loss. That usually means organic search for collection and product pages, a clean product feed for Google Shopping, Meta campaigns fed by reliable purchase data, and Klaviyo flows that turn first orders into second and third orders. We plan those pieces together because on a Shopify store they share the same data, the same product catalog and the same margins.
What Our Shopify Marketing Agency Covers
Each part of our Shopify marketing agency work below links to a dedicated service page. Most stores start with two or three and add more once the first ones pay for themselves.
| Service | What we do on a Shopify store |
|---|---|
| Shopify SEO | Collection page content, product templates, internal links, structured data, filter URL control and theme speed fixes. |
| Google Shopping and Performance Max | Feed optimization in Merchant Center, product titles and attributes, custom labels by margin and campaign splits by product role. |
| Ecommerce PPC | Shopify advertising services for Search, Shopping and remarketing, with budgets managed against contribution margin, not blended revenue. |
| Meta Ads | Prospecting and retargeting on Facebook and Instagram, creative testing and catalog ads using a deduplicated Conversions API setup. |
| Klaviyo email and SMS | Welcome, browse abandonment, cart, checkout, post-purchase and winback flows, plus a campaign calendar and segmentation. |
| Analytics and tracking | GA4 ecommerce events, Google Ads and Meta conversions, consent handling and a dashboard reconciled to Shopify orders. |
| Conversion rate optimization | Product page layout, variant selection, shipping and returns messaging, cart drawer and upsell tests. |
| Shopify development | Theme changes, app clean-up, custom sections and integrations handled by our own developers, not a subcontractor. |
What a Shopify Marketing Retainer Includes
Whichever channels you choose, our Shopify marketing services come with the same groundwork, because every channel on a Shopify store draws on the same catalog and order data.
| Included | What it means for your store |
|---|---|
| Store and tracking audit | Theme, apps, customer events, Merchant Center and ad accounts reviewed in the first two weeks, with every issue ranked by revenue impact. |
| Margin map of your catalog | Products grouped by margin, stock depth and sales history, so ad budget and SEO effort go to products that make money. |
| Purchase data you can trust | One purchase per order reaching GA4, Google Ads and Meta, with consent handled for UK and EU shoppers. |
| Feed health checks | Merchant Center diagnostics reviewed monthly, so disapprovals and missing attributes are caught before they cut Shopping reach. |
| Channel work each week | SEO tasks, campaign changes, creative tests and email flow updates done by the specialist for each channel. |
| Report from Shopify orders | A monthly report that starts from Shopify sales and margin, split into new and returning customers, then broken down by channel. |
| Developer time when needed | Small theme and tracking fixes handled by our own Shopify developers, so tests and fixes do not wait on another vendor. |
Shopify Platform Details We Handle
General marketing advice often breaks on Shopify because the platform makes some choices for you, which is why a Shopify marketing agency needs platform depth as well as channel skills. These are the areas where platform knowledge changes the result.
Collections and product URLs
Shopify serves every product at /products/handle and, when themes link from a collection, also at /collections/handle/products/handle. The canonical tag points to the /products/ version, but internal links to the longer path still spread crawl effort and link value across duplicates. We update theme links so collections point directly at the canonical product URL, and we write collection copy and FAQs that give category pages a reason to rank.
Filters, tags and crawl control
Storefront filters and tag pages can generate thousands of parameter URLs with nearly identical content. Since Shopify made robots.txt editable through the robots.txt.liquid template, we can block the combinations that should never be crawled while keeping useful filtered pages, such as a color or material people search for, indexable with their own content.
Product feeds
The Google and YouTube sales channel syncs products to Merchant Center, but it sends what your product data contains and little more. Missing GTINs, vague titles and no product type or custom labels limit what Shopping and Performance Max can do. We fix the source data in Shopify, or add a feed layer, so titles carry the terms buyers search and campaigns can be split by margin, price band or bestseller status.
Shopify marketing integrations and pixels
Shopify marketing integration runs through sales channels and apps: the Google and YouTube channel, the Facebook and Instagram channel, TikTok, Klaviyo and review apps all connect to your catalog and customer events. Each one also tends to install its own tracking. We audit Shopify customer events, the Facebook and Instagram app, the Google app and any hard-coded scripts, then remove duplicates so each platform receives one purchase per order. For Meta, the browser pixel and the Conversions API must share an event_id so Meta can deduplicate them.
Checkout and plan limits
Deeper customization of the information, shipping and payment steps of checkout is limited to Shopify Plus. On other plans we put conversion effort where you have control: product pages, the cart, shipping thresholds, trust content and the thank-you page.
International stores
Shopify Markets can serve regional subfolders or domains with local currency and pricing. We check that each market has translated or adapted content, correct hreflang output and its own Merchant Center feed, so a UK or Australian shopper does not land on US prices.
How We Grow a Shopify Store
- Store and account audit (weeks 1 to 2). We review your theme, apps, tracking, Merchant Center diagnostics, ad accounts, Klaviyo account and Search Console data. You get a prioritized list of issues ranked by revenue impact and effort.
- Margin and product mapping (week 2). We sort your catalog into heroes, supporting products and long tail, using gross margin, stock depth and sales history. This decides which products get ad budget, which collections get SEO attention and which items lead email campaigns.
- Tracking and feed fixes (weeks 2 to 4). Purchase events are cleaned up across GA4, Google Ads and Meta, and the product feed is corrected. Until this is done, campaign optimization is working from bad inputs.
- Retention first, then acquisition (weeks 3 to 8). Core Klaviyo flows go live early because they earn from traffic you already pay for. Search and Shopping campaigns are restructured next, followed by Meta prospecting once purchase data is reliable.
- Organic growth work (monthly from week 4). Collection page content, internal linking, product template improvements and technical fixes run every month, with the order set by search demand and margin.
- Monthly review against Shopify orders (from month 2). Reports start from Shopify sales and margin, then break results down by channel. We look at new versus returning customers so paid campaigns are not credited for sales email would have made anyway.
Shopify Marketing Deliverables and Success Measures
You should be able to check our work without taking our word for it. These are the outputs a Shopify store gets in the first quarter:
- A written audit of theme, apps, tracking, feed and accounts, with a ranked fix list.
- A catalog margin map with hero, supporting and long-tail products labeled in the feed.
- Clean purchase tracking across GA4, Google Ads and Meta, checked against Shopify orders.
- Core Klaviyo flows live: welcome, browse abandonment, abandoned checkout, post-purchase and winback.
- Restructured Shopping and search campaigns split by product role and margin.
- Collection page content and internal linking for your highest-demand categories.
- A monthly report and a live dashboard reconciled to Shopify sales.
Success is judged on store numbers, not channel claims: new customer count and acquisition cost, contribution margin after ad spend, the share of revenue from returning customers, and organic sessions and revenue to collection pages. We report platform ROAS too, but it never decides budget on its own.
Shopify Marketing Services by Store Stage
What a Shopify store needs from marketing changes as it grows. The order of work we recommend depends on where you are now.
Early traction
The store sells, mostly through one channel, often Meta or the founder's own audience. The priority is tracking you can trust, core Klaviyo flows and Google Shopping for the products people already search for. SEO starts with collection structure, because fixing it now is cheaper than fixing it at a thousand products.
Growing catalog
Revenue is spread across a few channels and the catalog is growing. Feed work, margin labels and campaign splits matter most here, along with collection content and creative testing on Meta. This is the stage where duplicate pixels and app bloat usually start costing money.
Shopify Plus and multi-market stores
Several markets, currencies or storefronts mean separate feeds by country, hreflang checks and reporting that separates each market. Checkout extensibility on Plus opens tests that other plans cannot run, such as upsells or trust content inside checkout.
Shopify Marketing Agency vs Shopify's Built-In Tools
Shopify gives you a lot for free: Shopify Email, customer segments, discount tools, a Marketing section that connects Google, Meta and TikTok, and AI help from Shopify Magic. For a small store with one person running it, those tools can be enough.
| Built-in tools and apps | A Shopify marketing agency | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Low, mostly app fees and your own time | A monthly retainer plus ad spend |
| Strategy | You decide what to promote and when | A plan built from margin, stock and search demand |
| Tracking | Each app adds its own pixel, which can double count | One audited setup with deduplicated events |
| Feeds | Synced as your product data stands | Titles, attributes and custom labels improved for Shopping |
| Reporting | Each tool reports its own success | One report reconciled to Shopify orders |
The point where an agency pays for itself is usually when ad spend is large enough that wasted budget costs more than the retainer, or when the founder's time is worth more on product and operations than on campaign settings.

Why Choose 95 Solutions as Your Shopify Marketing Agency
- We build software for Shopify stores. We co-build AM Jarvis, a SaaS suite for Shopify and WooCommerce stores that includes bulk product editing with preview and undo, and a Google Merchant Center violation scanner and fixer. We work with Shopify product data and feeds every day, not only through the ad platforms.
- Marketing leadership inside fashion brands. Since 2016 our founder has been Head of Marketing for a Florida-based resort wear brand, and since 2024 he has also led marketing for a second fashion brand on contract. Seasonal launches, stock limits and discount pressure are problems he manages directly.
- Developers in the same team. When a theme change, app removal or custom section is needed to fix conversion or tracking, our own Shopify developers do it, so fixes ship in days rather than waiting on another vendor.
- You keep ownership. Your Shopify store, ad accounts, Klaviyo account, Merchant Center and GA4 all stay in your name. We work as invited users.
- Short commitments. Monthly plans have a 3-month minimum, with contracts and invoices in USD from our US LLC.
Who Our Shopify Marketing Services Are For
A good fit
- Shopify and Shopify Plus stores with a proven product that sells, which want more of those sales at a margin they can live with.
- Brands spending on Google or Meta whose reported ROAS and Shopify revenue do not match.
- Stores with a large catalog where collection pages and product data are the main growth lever.
- Founders who want one team across SEO, ads and email rather than three agencies blaming each other.
Probably not a fit
- Stores that have not made their first sales yet. Start with product validation and a small paid test before a full marketing retainer.
- Dropshipping stores with thin margins and no product differentiation, where no channel can stay profitable for long.
- Brands that need guaranteed sales figures before they start.
What to Look for in Shopify Marketing Agencies
Many Shopify marketing agencies are general ad agencies that list Shopify on their website. A few questions separate them from teams that work on the platform every week.
- Do they report from Shopify orders? Ask how they reconcile Meta and Google numbers with Shopify sales, and how they separate new from returning customers.
- Can they change the store themselves? Many conversion and tracking fixes need Liquid edits, theme sections or app removal. If the agency cannot touch code, every fix waits on another vendor.
- Do they work on the product feed? Shopping and Performance Max results depend on titles, GTINs and custom labels. An agency that only adjusts bids is working on half the problem.
- How do they handle consent? Stores selling into the UK or EU need a consent banner wired into Shopify's customer privacy settings, plus Consent Mode v2 for Google.
- Who owns the accounts? Your store, Merchant Center, ad accounts and Klaviyo should stay in your name, with the agency added as users.
Common Shopify Marketing Mistakes We Fix
- Several apps firing purchase events. Two or three pixels reporting the same order inflates results and trains ad algorithms on bad data.
- Performance Max with no feed work. Letting Google spend across the whole catalog without margin labels often pushes budget toward cheap, low-profit items.
- Collection pages with no copy. A grid of products and a heading gives search engines little to rank. Short, useful copy and FAQs make a real difference on category terms.
- Discount-led email. Sending a code in every campaign teaches customers to wait. We build flows and campaigns that sell on product, fit, use and social proof first.
- Too many apps. Each script adds weight to the storefront. We remove apps that no longer earn their place and replace simple ones with theme code where it makes sense.

Shopify Marketing Agency Pricing
Our Shopify marketing plans are monthly retainers with a 3-month minimum term. The core plans below cover Shopify SEO and store growth work. Paid media management is added as a separate line priced by your monthly ad spend band, and Klaviyo set-up or management is quoted alongside, so you only pay for the channels you use. What moves the price is catalog size, the number of collections that need content, how many markets and languages you sell in, how much creative and email production you need, and whether the store needs development time each month.
