Hiring a Facebook ads agency used to be about finding someone who could build clever interest and lookalike audiences. That work matters far less now. Meta's delivery system finds buyers on its own when it gets good conversion data and a regular supply of strong creative, so those are the two things our Meta ads management spends most of its time on. The rest is keeping the account simple, the budgets sensible and the reporting honest.
Meta ads are one part of our PPC management services. Stores often pair them with Google Shopping to capture the searches that social ads create, and many brands add TikTok ads once their video creative is working on Instagram Reels.
Our Meta Ads Agency Services
- Prospecting campaigns: broad and Advantage+ audience targeting driven by creative, for reaching people who have not heard of you.
- Catalog and retargeting ads: Advantage+ catalog ads showing viewed or related products, with budgets capped so retargeting does not take credit for sales that would have happened anyway.
- Instagram ads: as an Instagram ads agency as well as a Facebook one, we cut creative for Reels, Stories and Feed, so an Instagram campaign does not just reuse a square Facebook image.
- Lead ads: instant forms with qualifying questions, synced to your CRM, with lead quality sent back to Meta.
- Creative production and briefs: static, carousel and short video concepts, UGC creator briefs, and partnership ads with creators when they fit.
- Tracking: Meta Pixel and Conversions API setup, event deduplication and Event Match Quality review.
How Our Meta Ads Management Works on Facebook and Instagram
- Account and tracking audit (week 1). We review structure, audiences, creative history and frequency, then compare purchases or leads in Ads Manager with your store or CRM. We check Events Manager for duplicate events, missing parameters and Event Match Quality scores.
- Fix the signal (weeks 1 to 3). Browser and server events are connected through the Conversions API with a shared event_id so Meta can deduplicate them. We pass values, currency and customer information parameters, and for lead businesses we send qualified lead and sale events back from the CRM.
- Simplify the structure (weeks 2 to 3). Fewer campaigns and ad sets with enough budget each to exit the learning phase, which Meta says needs roughly 50 optimization events in a week. Fragmented accounts with a dozen small ad sets rarely get there.
- Run a creative testing pipeline (from week 3, monthly). Each month we launch new concepts built on different angles (problem, product demo, social proof, offer, founder story), keep the winners running and retire the losers. Creative is where most of the gains come from on Meta now.
- Scale and report (from month 2). Budgets rise on campaigns that hold their targets. Reporting compares Meta's attributed results with blended numbers from your store or CRM, and each month ends with a written plan for the next round of tests.
Meta Ads Deliverables and What Good Looks Like
- Account and Events Manager audit: structure, frequency, creative history, duplicate events and Event Match Quality, with a ranked fix list.
- Tracking setup record: which events fire from the browser and the server, the shared event_id, and the parameters passed.
- Monthly creative test plan: the angles, hooks and formats to test, who produces each asset and the readout from last month.
- Creative library: every ad with its hook rate, click-through rate and cost per result, kept in your account and shared drive.
- Reporting: a Looker Studio dashboard with Meta results next to store or CRM numbers, weekly notes and a monthly review call.
Good looks like a cost per purchase or qualified lead at or under the target set from your margin, blended acquisition cost holding as spend rises, and a creative pipeline that keeps producing new winners. We do not promise a ROAS figure, because offer, product and creative supply matter as much as the buying.
Creative Is Now the Targeting
With broad targeting, the ad itself decides who sees it. A video about back pain relief reaches different people from a video about the same product as a gift. That is why a paid social agency that only adjusts bids and audiences will stall once the first few ads fatigue.
As a Facebook ads agency, we plan creative volume into the monthly scope. A typical month includes new hooks on proven ads, a few new concepts, and format variations for Reels and Stories. We watch hook rate, hold rate, click-through rate and cost per purchase, and use the Meta Ads Library to see which competitor ads keep running for months.
Meta Conversions API and Signal Quality
Since Apple introduced App Tracking Transparency in 2021, browser-only pixel tracking misses a share of conversions. The Conversions API sends events from your server as well, and Meta uses the event_id and event name to avoid counting the same purchase twice. Done badly, it doubles conversions and misleads the algorithm. Done well, Meta optimizes on a fuller and more accurate picture.
On Shopify, the Facebook and Instagram app can handle this when data sharing is set correctly. On WooCommerce and custom sites we usually use server-side Google Tag Manager or the Conversions API Gateway. Our server-side tracking service covers larger builds, and our guide to the Meta Conversions API on Shopify explains the setup step by step.
Advantage+ or Manual Meta Campaigns?
Meta's Advantage+ campaigns automate audiences, placements and much of the budget split. They tend to work well for stores with a product catalog, steady purchase volume and a good supply of creative, because the system has enough data and enough ads to choose from. Manual campaigns still earn their place when you need a clean creative test, strict exclusions, a specific geography or a lead objective that Advantage+ handles less precisely.
We usually set accounts up with a simple mix: one Advantage+ campaign for scale, one manual campaign for structured creative tests, and a small, capped retargeting budget run under our remarketing services rules. Winning ads move from the test campaign into the scaling campaign each month, so the scaling campaign always has fresh, proven creative and the test campaign stays a clean read on new ideas.
Instagram ads that look native to Instagram
Reels and Stories are full-screen vertical placements, so we produce 9:16 versions with captions, keep key text away from the top and bottom where the interface covers it, and open with the hook in the first seconds. A square Facebook image stretched into Stories usually wastes the placement.
Facebook Ads Mistakes We Find in Account Audits
- Too many small ad sets. Budget spread across a dozen audiences means none of them gets enough conversions for Meta's delivery system to learn.
- Editing during the learning phase. Significant changes to budget, targeting or creative reset learning, so daily tinkering keeps results unstable.
- Optimizing for clicks or traffic. Meta finds people who click, not people who buy. If sales are the goal, optimize for purchases or the closest event with enough volume.
- Boosted posts as the main strategy. Boosting from the page skips most campaign settings and rarely optimizes for sales.
- No exclusions. Prospecting campaigns that do not exclude recent buyers and retargeting audiences end up paying to reach existing customers.
Paid Social Agency, Freelancer or In-House Media Buyer?
| Option | Works when | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| In-house media buyer | Spend is steady and large enough to keep one person busy, and you already produce creative in-house. | One person rarely covers buying, tracking and creative strategy well. |
| Freelancer | A single account and modest budget where direct access to the buyer matters most. | Holiday cover, Conversions API work and creative volume often fall outside scope. |
| Paid social agency | You want buying, tracking, creative planning and reporting run together. | Ask who actually runs the account and how many new concepts a month are included. |
Facebook Ads for Ecommerce, Lead Generation and Local Businesses
Ecommerce: broad prospecting with product and lifestyle creative, Advantage+ catalog ads for viewers, and results judged on new customer CAC against store orders. Stores often run Meta alongside ecommerce PPC on Google.
Lead generation: instant forms with qualifying questions or landing pages, with CRM stages sent back to Meta so delivery favors leads that close. Cheap leads that never answer the phone are the main risk.
Local businesses: radius targeting around your service area, offers that work on mobile, and call or message objectives where people prefer to talk before booking.

Brands Our Facebook Ads Agency Works With
A good fit
- Ecommerce and DTC brands, particularly in fashion, beauty and home, selling products that show well in video. See our fashion marketing page for more on that sector.
- Lead generation businesses that can send lead quality back from a CRM.
- Brands able to supply product, photos or creator content each month, or budget for us to produce it.
- Agencies looking for a white label Facebook ads agency to run paid social under their own brand, on the same basis as our white label SEO program.
Probably not a fit
- Businesses that want a Facebook ads agency to run the same few ads for months without new creative.
- Offers in Special Ad Categories, such as housing, employment or credit, that expect detailed targeting Meta no longer allows for them.
- B2B offers aimed at narrow job titles, where LinkedIn ads are usually the better channel.
How to Choose a Facebook Advertising Agency
Since Meta now does most of the targeting, agencies differ mainly on creative and tracking. Before you sign with a Facebook advertising agency, ask:
- How many new creative concepts a month are included, and who makes them.
- How they will check the Conversions API setup, including deduplication and Event Match Quality, before scaling spend.
- Which numbers they report, and whether Ads Manager results are shown next to your store orders or CRM data.
- Whose Business Manager the ad account sits in. It should be yours, with the agency added as a partner.
Meta Ads Pricing
Meta ads management is a monthly retainer with a flat fee set by your ad spend band and a percentage of spend above the top band. Creative production volume depends on the plan. The minimum term is 3 months, then month to month, and you pay Meta directly for media.
What drives the cost of Meta ads management is monthly spend, the number of new creative concepts each month and who produces them, how many catalogs, countries or brands are involved, and how much Conversions API and CRM work is needed before scaling. Creative volume is usually the biggest variable, because it is where most of the hours go.
Management fee only. Ad spend is paid by the client directly to Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn.
