A Klaviyo agency earns its fee in the details: the integration events, the flow filters, the segment definitions and the sending rules that most accounts get slightly wrong. We work inside Klaviyo every week for ecommerce brands, and this page covers what we do in the platform specifically. For the wider picture, including B2B automation and platform choice, see our email marketing agency page.
Klaviyo is powerful because it holds your store's product, browsing and order data next to every subscriber profile. That power only helps if the data is accurate. Many of the accounts we audit have missing events, duplicate flows fighting over the same shopper, or segments built on opens that Apple Mail inflates. We fix those first, then build the program on top.
What Our Klaviyo Agency Services Include
- Account setup or rebuild. Integration, sending domain, brand settings, template library and a clean folder and naming structure so anyone can find things later.
- Integration audit. We confirm that Viewed Product, Added to Cart, Started Checkout, Placed Order and Fulfilled Order events arrive with the right properties, and that your product catalog syncs for dynamic blocks.
- Flow builds. Welcome, abandoned checkout, browse abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, winback and sunset flows with filters that stop the same person getting three messages in one day.
- Segmentation. Engagement tiers, customer value groups, category interest and predictive segments, each with a documented purpose.
- Campaign management. A monthly calendar, copy, design, QA and sending to the right segments at the right frequency.
- Sign-up forms. Pop-ups and flyouts with mobile-specific timing, A/B tested offers and one or two preference questions.
- Klaviyo SMS. Text flows and campaigns that work alongside email. Our SMS marketing agency page explains the compliance setup in detail.
- Migrations. Moving into Klaviyo from Mailchimp, Omnisend or Shopify Email with consent status and suppressions preserved.
How We Work as Your Klaviyo Email Marketing Agency
- Audit (weeks 1 to 2). We export flow and campaign performance, review every live flow and its filters, check events against real test orders, and look at authentication records. You get a prioritized fix list within the first two weeks.
- Repair the data layer (weeks 2 to 3). Missing onsite tracking, broken catalog syncs and consent fields that do not match your store are fixed before any new creative. A flow built on a broken trigger simply does not fire.
- Rebuild flows in priority order (weeks 3 to 8). Abandoned checkout and welcome come first because they reach people closest to buying, and usually go live in the first month. Each flow gets conditional splits for new versus returning customers, so a loyal buyer does not receive a first-order discount.
- Launch the campaign calendar (from week 4). We plan a month ahead around your launches and promotions, send mainly to engaged segments, and schedule wider sends deliberately. Every campaign goes through desktop and mobile checks before approval.
- Test and report (monthly). One test at a time, recorded in a shared log. The monthly report covers revenue per recipient, flow performance, list health and the next month's plan.
Klaviyo Agency Deliverables and How We Judge Success
You should be able to see exactly what a Klaviyo agency has built in your account. With us you receive:
- An audit report covering integration events, flows, segments, forms, deliverability and attribution settings, with each fix ranked by likely revenue impact.
- A flow map listing every live flow with its trigger, trigger filters, flow filters, delays, splits and the reason it exists.
- Documented segments named to a convention, so a new team member can tell an engaged 60-day audience from a predictive churn group at a glance.
- A reusable template system of headers, footers, product blocks and content modules in your brand style, saved in your Klaviyo account.
- A monthly report with Klaviyo-attributed revenue next to GA4 revenue from UTM-tagged links, plus revenue per recipient, list growth and complaint rates.
Klaviyo credits a placed order to a message when it falls inside the attribution window set in your account, so its revenue figure will always be higher than GA4's. We review those settings with you at the start, report both views, and where list size allows we hold back a small random group from a flow to estimate its real lift. Success means flow revenue per recipient rising, a growing engaged segment and a clean deliverability record, not just a bigger attributed revenue number.
Shopify Email Marketing in Klaviyo: What We Check First
Most of our Klaviyo clients run on Shopify, and Shopify email marketing through Klaviyo depends on a handful of settings that are easy to miss.
- Onsite tracking. Klaviyo's browsing events rely on its onsite script, enabled on Shopify through the theme's app embed. If a theme was changed or duplicated, this is often switched off, and browse abandonment quietly stops.
- Consent sync. Email and SMS consent collected at Shopify checkout should reach Klaviyo with the correct status. We test this with real orders, because a mismatch either loses subscribers or emails people who did not opt in.
- Catalog sync. Product feeds power recommendation and dynamic blocks. Out-of-stock or unpublished items should not appear in emails, so we check the filters.
- Discount codes. Unique single-use codes generated through the Shopify integration prevent a welcome code from being shared on coupon sites.
- Checkout events. Started Checkout needs to carry line items and a checkout URL so the abandoned checkout email can show the right products and send people straight back.
Klaviyo Segments We Build for Most Stores
| Segment | Definition | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Engaged 30, 60 and 90 days | Clicked, viewed a product or ordered within the window | Default campaign audiences, sized to protect deliverability |
| One-time buyers | Exactly one order, placed within your repurchase window | Second-order campaigns and cross-sell content |
| Repeat and high-value customers | Multiple orders or high historic value | Early access, launches and no-discount messages |
| Category interest | Viewed or bought within a product category | Campaign versions by category |
| Predicted churn risk | Klaviyo predictive analytics, where the account has enough order history | Winback timing and retention offers |
| Subscribers, never purchased | On the list with no orders | Education, social proof and first-order nudges |
Our guide to Klaviyo flows shows how these segments connect to flow filters, and the abandoned cart email article covers message timing and offer rules.
Klaviyo Flow Architecture: Filters, Splits and Smart Sending
Most underperforming Klaviyo accounts do not need more flows. They need the existing flows to talk to each other. These are the settings we work through on every build:
- Trigger filters versus flow filters. Trigger filters look at the event itself (for example, a checkout value above a threshold or a specific product category). Flow filters look at the person and are checked before every message, which is how a shopper who places an order leaves the abandoned checkout flow before the next reminder.
- Conditional and trigger splits. We split by customer type, order count, category or location so a repeat buyer, a first-time visitor and an international shopper get different messages from the same trigger.
- Smart Sending. It skips anyone who received a message within a set window. That suits campaigns, but in flows it needs care: an abandoned checkout email should rarely be skipped because a newsletter went out that morning.
- Flow priority. When welcome, browse abandonment and abandoned checkout can all trigger in one session, we decide which flow wins and filter the others so the shopper gets one clear message.
- Message status. Flow messages can sit in Draft, Manual or Live. After any edit we check statuses, because a message left in Manual quietly queues instead of sending.
Klaviyo Account Problems We Find in Most Audits
| Problem | What it costs you | How we fix it |
|---|---|---|
| Onsite tracking disabled after a theme change | Browse abandonment and Viewed Product segments stop working without any error | Re-enable the app embed and confirm events with a test session |
| Segments built on opens | Apple Mail inflates opens, so "engaged" audiences include people who never read anything | Rebuild engagement on clicks, site activity and orders |
| Never-engaged profiles kept active | Lower inbox placement and a higher Klaviyo bill, since pricing follows active profiles | Sunset flow, then suppress profiles that do not respond |
| Duplicate or legacy flows still live | Shoppers receive two versions of the same reminder | Archive old versions and merge logic into one flow |
| Static discount codes | Welcome codes end up on coupon sites | Unique single-use codes generated through the store integration |
| No UTM settings on links | GA4 cannot see email revenue, so cross-channel reports undervalue it | Account-level UTM tracking with consistent naming |

What to Look for in a Klaviyo Email Marketing Agency
A Klaviyo email marketing agency is easy to hire and harder to judge, because most pitches show attractive email designs and little else. Before you sign with anyone, including us, ask for these:
- A sample flow map (anonymized is fine) showing filters and splits, not just screenshots of emails.
- How they audit before building. An agency that wants to rebuild everything on day one without checking events and filters will repeat the old problems.
- Who works inside your account, and whether you keep full ownership of templates, flows and data if you part ways.
- How they report revenue. Klaviyo-attributed revenue alone flatters every agency. Ask how they compare it with GA4 and store data.
- How they handle SMS consent if text is in scope, since mistakes there carry legal risk, not just lost revenue.
- Their testing record. A shared test log with losing and inconclusive results is a better sign than a list of wins.
Why Choose 95 Solutions as Your Klaviyo Agency
- Senior-led. Strategy on every account is led by Mustafa, who has 11+ years in digital marketing and has run marketing for a Florida-based resort wear brand since 2016.
- Ecommerce builders, not just marketers. We build Shopify and WooCommerce tools ourselves, including the AM Jarvis SaaS suite, so we understand how store data moves between apps.
- Your account, your data. We work inside your Klaviyo account as users. Flows, templates and segments stay with you.
- US contracts, overlapping hours. A US LLC invoicing in USD, working across the full US business day and UK business hours, with a three-month minimum term.
When to Hire a Klaviyo Marketing Agency
The usual signs: flow revenue has flattened while the list keeps growing, campaigns go to everyone, nobody can explain which segments exist, or the account was set up by an app installer years ago.
A good fit: Shopify or WooCommerce brands already on Klaviyo whose flows are out of date, brands moving to Klaviyo from another platform, and teams that want a Klaviyo agency with someone senior owning the calendar and the data. Brands that also run paid social benefit, because we align email offers with what the ads promise.
Probably not a fit: stores sending a few newsletters a year who are happy with Shopify Email, anyone who wants to email purchased lists, and businesses with no ecommerce data to feed Klaviyo. For lead-generation automation in a CRM, see our email and marketing automation services instead.
