CRO services exist for one reason: most sites lose buyers to problems nobody has looked for. A shipping cost that appears only at checkout, a form that asks for a phone number the visitor does not want to give, a product page where the size chart sits below the fold on mobile. Conversion rate optimization is the work of finding those problems with evidence, fixing them, and proving the fix helped.
Our conversion rate optimization services are for ecommerce stores and lead-generation businesses that already have steady traffic from SEO, paid search or social. When more traffic gets expensive, raising the share of visitors who buy is often the cheaper lever. CRO is part of our digital marketing services and shares data with every other channel we run.
What Is Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)?
Conversion rate optimization (CRO) is the practice of increasing the share of visitors who complete a goal, such as a purchase, a lead form or a sign-up, by finding what stops them and changing the site to remove it. Your conversion rate is conversions divided by visitors or sessions over the same period, so it moves when either the site or the quality of traffic changes.
CRO is not the same as redesigning a site to look better. It works from evidence: analytics shows where people drop off, research explains why, and tests or careful before and after comparisons show whether a change helped.
What Our CRO Services Include
| Service | What you get |
|---|---|
| Conversion research | Funnel analysis, session recordings, heatmaps, on-site polls, customer surveys and a review of support tickets and product reviews, summarized into a ranked list of problems. |
| Analytics and funnel audit | A check that purchase and lead events fire once, with correct values, so every later decision rests on sound numbers. |
| UX and page reviews | A page-by-page review of your highest-traffic templates on mobile and desktop, with annotated screenshots and specific changes. |
| A/B and split testing | Hypotheses, designs, test builds, QA across browsers, and analysis at a sample size agreed before launch. |
| Landing page optimization | Paid traffic landing pages rebuilt around the ad's promise. For new pages built from scratch, see our landing page design service. |
| Cart and checkout optimization | Shipping clarity, payment options, trust and form friction. Our checkout optimization guide covers the common fixes. |
| Shopify conversion rate optimization | Store-specific work on collections, product pages, cart drawers and apps, built around what Shopify's plans allow. |
| Form and lead-flow optimization | Field reduction, multi-step forms, error handling and follow-up timing for service and B2B sites. |
How to Do Conversion Rate Optimization
To do conversion rate optimization, check your tracking, research where and why visitors drop off, rank ideas as hypotheses, then fix or test them and record what you learn. Our program follows six steps.
- Check the measurement (week 1). We confirm that purchases, leads and key steps are tracked once and correctly in GA4 and your store or CRM. If a test result depends on broken tracking, it is not a result, so this comes first.
- Research where and why people drop off (weeks 2 to 4). Funnel reports show where visitors leave; recordings, polls and surveys show why. We also read your reviews and support tickets, because customers often describe the exact doubt that stops other people from buying.
- Prioritize hypotheses (end of month 1). Every idea is written as a hypothesis (because we saw X, changing Y should improve Z) and scored on expected impact, confidence and effort. You see the full backlog and the reasoning behind its order.
- Fix or test (from month 2). Clear bugs and obvious friction are fixed directly, often within the first weeks. Changes with real uncertainty go into an A/B test, designed, built and checked across devices and browsers before launch.
- Analyze honestly (two to six weeks per test). Tests run for the planned sample size and whole weeks, and we do not stop early because a graph looks good. We report wins, losses and inconclusive results, and look at segments such as device and new versus returning visitors.
- Ship and document (ongoing). Winning variants are built permanently into the site, and every test goes into a shared log with screenshots, numbers and what we learned. That log becomes a record of what your customers respond to.
CRO Services Deliverables and What Success Looks Like
A CRO program should leave a paper trail you can use long after any engagement ends. Ours produces:
- A measurement check confirming which events and values can be trusted, and what was fixed.
- A research summary with the main drop-off points by device and channel, the objections customers raise, and annotated screenshots of the problems.
- A prioritized backlog of hypotheses with impact, confidence and effort scores, visible to your team at all times.
- Test plans written before launch: hypothesis, primary metric, audience, sample size, expected run time and the decision rule.
- A test log with screenshots, results, segment breakdowns and what each test taught us.
- Shipped changes built into your theme or site code, not left running inside a testing tool.
Success is measured on the metric each test was planned around (orders, revenue per visitor or qualified leads), not on clicks or time on page. Over a quarter, a healthy program shows a steady rate of shipped improvements, a backlog that keeps getting sharper as research builds up, and conversion and revenue per visitor trending up on the templates we worked on. We do not promise a percentage lift; losing and inconclusive tests are part of honest CRO, and each one still tells you something about your buyers.
What a Conversion Rate Optimization Audit Covers
A conversion rate optimization audit is where every program starts, and it can also be bought on its own. In the audit we:
- Check that purchases, leads and key funnel steps are tracked once, with correct values, in GA4 and your platform.
- Break the funnel down by device, channel, landing page and new versus returning visitors to find the weakest step. Where funnel events are missing, our conversion funnel tracking setup fills the gaps first.
- Review the highest-traffic templates on real phones and desktops, including forms, search, cart and checkout.
- Read recordings and heatmaps for the leaking pages. For a larger behavior study, our heatmap analysis service goes further.
- Check Core Web Vitals from real users on the templates that carry revenue.
- Summarize findings into a ranked list of fixes and test ideas, with the evidence for each.
Research Methods and What Each One Tells You
| Method | What it shows | Its limit |
|---|---|---|
| Funnel analysis in GA4 and store reports | Which step loses the most visitors, split by device, channel and landing page | Shows where, not why |
| Heatmaps and scroll maps | What people click, and how far they scroll on key templates | Averages hide very different visitor types |
| Session recordings | Rage clicks, dead clicks, form errors and confusion in real sessions | Slow to review, so we filter to sessions that matter |
| On-site polls | The doubt in a visitor's head at a specific moment, such as exit from a product page | Low response rates; needs careful wording |
| Customer surveys | Why buyers chose you and what nearly stopped them | Only hears from people who bought |
| Reviews and support tickets | Recurring objections in the customer's own words | Skews toward strong opinions |
| Speed and Core Web Vitals data | LCP, INP and CLS from real users on your key templates | Speed is one factor among many |
When A/B Testing Makes Sense, and When It Does Not
A/B testing needs traffic. Before any test starts, we calculate the sample size from your current conversion rate, the smallest improvement worth detecting, and the confidence level we want. If a page would need months to reach that sample, testing it is the wrong tool.
For lower-traffic sites, we still do CRO. We rely more on research, fix clear problems directly, and compare before and after periods with care for seasonality and campaign changes. For higher-traffic sites, we test the changes that carry real risk, such as pricing presentation, offer structure or a new product page layout.
Two mistakes we see often: stopping a test the day it turns green (early results swing wildly), and testing button colors while the page has a bigger problem nobody has researched. A good CRO agency spends more time on research than on test tooling.
Conversion Leaks We Find on Most Sites
- Shipping costs and delivery times revealed only at checkout.
- Paid landing pages that do not repeat the headline or offer from the ad.
- Mobile product pages where price, variants and the add-to-cart button sit below large image galleries.
- Site search returning zero results for common misspellings and synonyms.
- Lead forms asking for more fields than the first conversation needs.
- Hero sliders and heavy apps slowing the largest contentful paint on the templates that matter.
- Trust information (returns, guarantees, reviews) placed far from the buying decision.
- Checkout or form errors that only occur on one browser or payment method.
Some of these problems start upstream. If the ads promise one thing and the page shows another, we work with our performance marketing team to line up the message. If returning visitors are the weak segment, email and SMS flows often do more than any page change.
How CRO Services Fit With SEO and Paid Search
Conversion work touches pages that also earn organic rankings and ad traffic, so we plan it with both in mind.
- SEO safety. We follow Google's published guidance for website testing: variant URLs carry a canonical tag pointing to the original, redirect tests use temporary 302 redirects, search engines see the same content as users, and tests end once they reach a result. On ranking pages we avoid stripping out headings, copy or internal links that the page ranks for.
- Paid search alignment. Google Ads Quality Score includes landing page experience, and a page that repeats the ad's promise usually converts better too. We test landing pages with the paid team so a winning variant does not break message match on other ad groups.
- Shared measurement. Test results are read in GA4 and your store or CRM, so SEO, paid and CRO all report against the same numbers.
CRO Testing and Research Tools
| Category | Tools |
|---|---|
| Analytics | GA4, Shopify Analytics, BigQuery, Looker Studio |
| Behavior analysis | Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar |
| A/B testing | VWO, Convert, Optimizely, Intelligems, Shoplift |
| Surveys and feedback | Hotjar Surveys, Typeform, post-purchase survey apps such as KnoCommerce and Fairing |
| Speed and performance | PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, Chrome UX Report, WebPageTest |
| Design and build | Figma, Shopify theme code, WordPress, Webflow, custom front ends |
Google Optimize was shut down in September 2023. If your past test notes refer to it, those tests need a new home, and we usually move them to VWO or Convert, or to a Shopify-specific tool for stores.
Conversion Rate Optimization for Ecommerce, Lead Generation and SaaS
| Business type | Main conversion | Where we usually look first |
|---|---|---|
| Ecommerce stores | Orders and revenue per visitor | Product pages on mobile, shipping and returns clarity, cart, checkout and site search |
| Lead generation and local services | Qualified form fills and calls | Landing page match with the ad, form length and errors, trust signals, response speed after the lead arrives |
| SaaS and software | Trials, demos and paid upgrades | Pricing page clarity, sign-up friction, onboarding steps and the gap between trial start and first value |
| B2B and wholesale | Quote requests and account sign-ups | Catalog navigation, spec sheets, quote forms and the path for repeat buyers |
For lead generation, the conversion that matters is a qualified lead, not a form fill, so we connect form data to your CRM where possible and judge changes on lead quality as well as volume.
Hiring a Conversion Rate Optimization Consultant or Company
A solo conversion rate optimization consultant can be a good fit for a one-off conversion rate optimization audit, or for coaching an in-house team that already has design and development capacity. A conversion rate optimization company makes more sense when you need research, design, test builds and analysis delivered together every month, without hiring for each skill.
Whichever consultant or CRO company you choose, ask to see a sample research summary and a test log, how sample sizes are set, how losing tests are reported, and who builds the winning variant into your site. If the answer to the last question is "it stays in the testing tool", expect slower pages and fragile code.
| Option | Best for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| In-house CRO hire | High-traffic sites with designers and developers already on staff | One person rarely covers research, analysis, design and test builds |
| Freelance consultant | A one-off audit or coaching an existing team | Recommendations still need someone to design and build them |
| CRO agency | Research, design, builds and analysis delivered together each month | Check that senior people do the research, not only the sales call |
Why Choose 95 Solutions as Your Conversion Rate Optimization Agency
- Senior-led from research to analysis. Mustafa leads the strategy on every account. He has 11+ years in digital marketing and a BS in Computer Science, so he reads both the data and the code behind a test.
- Developers in the same team. We build Shopify, WordPress and custom sites ourselves. Winning variants get built properly into your theme instead of living forever inside a testing script.
- We run our own sites. We operate our own properties, including Boiler Decoder and the AM Jarvis SaaS suite, so we test ideas on real sites we are responsible for.
- You keep everything. Testing tools, analytics and the test log are in your accounts. The research belongs to you.
- Practical terms. A US LLC with USD contracts, working hours that overlap the US and UK business day, published plans and a three-month minimum term.
Who Our CRO Services Are For
A good fit:
- Ecommerce stores with steady traffic and rising acquisition costs that need ecommerce conversion rate optimization services, not another theme refresh.
- Lead-generation sites where form completion or lead quality has stalled.
- Brands that have redesigned before without knowing whether it helped.
- Teams with a developer or agency who can ship changes, or who want us to build them.
Probably not a fit:
- New sites with very little traffic. Build an audience first, then optimize.
- Businesses looking for a guaranteed percentage lift. Honest CRO produces losing and inconclusive tests too.
- Anyone who wants tests run without access to accurate analytics.
What Decides How Much CRO Can Improve
Four things decide how much CRO services can achieve for you: traffic volume, which sets how fast tests conclude; the size of the problems already on the site; how quickly changes can be built and approved; and the accuracy of your tracking. If measurement is shaky, our analytics and tracking team fixes it first. Shopify stores can also plan CRO alongside ads and email through our Shopify marketing service.
Not sure where your site is losing people? Request a free marketing audit and we will point to the first pages we would research. We reply within one business day, book a short call about your traffic, goals and current tools, look at your analytics with read-only access, and send a written scope with the first research steps, the pages involved and a realistic timeline for the first tests.
CRO Services Pricing
Our CRO services are billed as a monthly retainer. Plans differ by research depth, the number of tests running and how much design and development we include. The minimum term is three months, because research and the first tests need that long to produce reliable learning. Cost depends on the number of templates and funnels in scope, your traffic level (which sets how many tests can run at once), whether we design and develop the variants or your team does, the platform (a Shopify theme is quicker to change than a custom application) and the number of markets or languages. Testing tool subscriptions are billed to you by the vendor.
