Programmatic SEO is the practice of creating many pages from one template and a dataset, each targeting a specific variation of a repeated search pattern. Think "[software] integration with [software]", "[service] in [city]", "[product A] vs [product B]" or "[error code] meaning". As a programmatic SEO agency, our job is to find patterns with real demand, build the dataset that makes each page genuinely different, and publish in a way search engines are happy to index.
It works when three things are true: people search for many variations of the same question, you have or can assemble data that answers each variation, and every page can offer something the others do not. When one of those is missing, you end up with thousands of near-identical pages that never get indexed, or worse, drag the rest of the site down. This service sits within our SEO services and relies on our technical SEO work for crawl and indexing control.
What Our Programmatic SEO Services Include
- Pattern research. We find repeated query patterns in your market with Ahrefs and Semrush, check real search demand for the variations, and review what currently ranks for each.
- Data sourcing and cleaning. We assemble the dataset behind the pages from your product data, internal databases, public sources or APIs, then clean and structure it so every record has enough unique detail.
- Template design. Page templates are built around the data, with sections that change meaningfully from page to page, plus internal links, breadcrumbs and schema generated from each record.
- Content generation with a uniqueness gate. Where written sections are needed, we generate drafts from the data and pass every page through a uniqueness check before publishing.
- Publishing and indexing. Pages are released in batches through your CMS, with sitemaps updated, IndexNow pinged and indexing tracked per batch.
- Pruning and improvement. Pages that do not get indexed or earn impressions are improved, merged or removed, so the set gets stronger over time instead of just bigger.
Programmatic SEO Page Types We Build
| Page type | Example pattern | What makes each page different |
|---|---|---|
| Integration pages | [Your app] + [other app] | Supported triggers, data synced, setup steps and limits for that pair |
| Location pages | [Service] in [city] | Local coverage, response times, regulations, team or stock details per area |
| Comparison pages | [Product A] vs [Product B] | Spec-by-spec differences, pricing models and use cases from the dataset |
| Glossary and reference pages | [Term] meaning, [code] fix | Definition, causes, steps and related entries for that record |
| Attribute and category pages | [Product type] for [use or size] | Filtered product sets with specifications and buying guidance |
How Our Programmatic SEO Agency Builds a Page Set
- Validate the pattern (weeks 1 to 2). We map the full set of variations and their search demand, and check that the results for them are winnable. If the results are dominated by large directories with years of data, we tell you before you invest.
- Build the dataset (weeks 2 to 5). Each record needs enough specific facts to support its own page. Records that are too thin are enriched or dropped, not padded with filler text.
- Design and pilot (weeks 4 to 8). We build the template and publish a small pilot batch. The pilot shows whether Google indexes the pages and whether they earn impressions before the full set is created.
- Run the uniqueness gate (before every batch). Every page is compared against its siblings before it can publish. Pages that are too similar are held back for more data or merged with a close neighbor.
- Drip-feed the release (month 3 onward). The rest of the set goes live in steady batches rather than all at once, with IndexNow pings and sitemap updates, so crawling and indexing can be watched batch by batch.
- Measure and prune (monthly). We track indexed pages, impressions and clicks per batch in Search Console and act on the underperformers each month.
Pilots on established sites usually show indexing results within a few weeks. Larger sets take months to roll out, because we only speed up the release once earlier batches are indexed and earning impressions.
Programmatic SEO Deliverables and What Success Looks Like
| Deliverable | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Pattern research sheet | Every query variation with search demand, current ranking pages and a go or no-go recommendation. |
| Clean dataset | Structured records with sources noted, owned by you and reusable for other channels such as ads or sales content. |
| Page template and schema | A tested template in your CMS with internal linking, breadcrumbs and JSON-LD generated from each record. |
| Uniqueness and quality report | Which records passed, which were held back and why, so thin pages never reach the index. |
| Release log and batch dashboard | Publish dates, indexing status, impressions and clicks per batch. |
Success is measured per batch: the share of published pages Google indexes, the share earning impressions within the first months, clicks and conversions from the set, and whether the rest of the site holds steady while the set grows. A strong page set keeps a high indexing rate as it scales. If the indexing rate drops, we slow the release and fix the data before publishing more.
Programmatic SEO vs Editorial Content
| Factor | Programmatic pages | Editorial content |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Many variations of one query pattern | Broad, complex or opinion-led topics |
| Main input | A structured dataset | Expertise and research per article |
| Cost per page | Low once the template and data exist | Higher, because each page is written separately |
| Main risk | Thin, near-duplicate pages | Slow output and topics with little demand |
Most sites need both. Programmatic pages capture the long tail of specific searches, while editorial guides and service pages earn links and answer the bigger questions that send authority back to the set.
Common Programmatic SEO Mistakes We Avoid
- Publishing every variation at once. Releasing tens of thousands of URLs in one day on a modest domain usually leads to most of them sitting in "Discovered, currently not indexed".
- Swapping the keyword and nothing else. City or product names inserted into identical text is the pattern Google's scaled content abuse policy targets.
- No internal linking plan. Pages reachable only through the sitemap get crawled rarely and rank poorly. Each page should link to related records and up to a hub.
- Stale data. Prices, availability or specs that drift out of date make every page wrong at once. We plan how the dataset is refreshed before launch.
- No pruning. Pages that never get indexed or clicked still use crawl budget. We review and remove or merge them regularly.
How to Choose a Programmatic SEO Agency
A programmatic SEO agency needs data skills and development skills as well as SEO. Before you hire one, ask:
- Where will the data for each page come from, and how will it be kept current?
- How do you check that pages are different enough before they publish?
- Will you run a pilot batch, and what result would make you stop?
- Can you build templates in our CMS, or will we need our own developers?
- How will you report indexing and performance per batch?
An in-house team works well when you already have developers and a data owner. A freelancer can handle a small set on an existing CMS. An agency makes sense when research, data, templates and publishing all need to move together.
Does Programmatic SEO Still Work?
Yes, programmatic SEO still works when each page carries data its siblings do not; it fails when a template only swaps the keyword. Since March 2024, Google spam policies have included scaled content abuse: producing many pages mainly to manipulate rankings rather than to help people, however those pages are made. Programmatic SEO is not banned, and plenty of useful sites are built this way, but a template filled with swapped keywords is exactly what that policy describes.
How our uniqueness gate keeps page sets indexable
AM Jarvis, the SaaS suite our founder co-builds, includes a programmatic SEO module with a uniqueness gate that checks each generated page against the rest of the set before it is allowed to publish. We use the same principle on client projects whatever the platform: no page goes live unless it carries information its siblings do not. It means publishing fewer pages than a naive template would produce, and more of them getting indexed and staying indexed.
Getting Started With Programmatic SEO: What We Need From You
A programmatic project moves fastest when a few inputs are ready on day one:
- Your data sources. Product feeds, integration lists, location data, internal databases or spreadsheets, even if they are messy. Cleaning them is part of the job.
- CMS and hosting access, plus a contact on your development team if templates must go through your release process.
- Search Console and GA4 access so we can see current coverage and measure each batch.
- A subject expert who can review a sample of pages for accuracy before the pilot goes live.
- Your conversion goal for the set, such as sign-ups, quote requests or product sales, so the template includes the right next step.

Why Choose 95 Solutions as Your Programmatic SEO Agency
- We built the tooling. The programmatic module and uniqueness gate in AM Jarvis come from our own team, so we understand exactly how pages are generated and checked.
- We publish at scale on our own properties. Our custom CMS, which runs this site and Boiler Decoder, handles drip-feed publishing, IndexNow pings, JSON-LD schema and Search Console keyword reporting. The release process we recommend is the one we use.
- Senior-led. Mustafa, with 11+ years in digital marketing and a BS in Computer Science, leads the strategy and data design on every project.
- You own the data and templates. Datasets, templates, generated content and any code stay yours.
- Honest go or no-go calls. A programmatic SEO agency should turn work down when the data is not there. If the pattern research shows a project is unlikely to pay off, we say so before the build starts.
Who Our Programmatic SEO Agency Works With
A good fit
- SaaS companies with many integrations, use cases or templates that people search for by name.
- Marketplaces, directories and service businesses covering many locations with real local data.
- Ecommerce brands with rich product specifications that support comparison and attribute pages.
- Reference and data sites with a structured dataset people search against.
Probably not a fit
- Sites without a dataset that can make each page different. Start with on page SEO and editorial content instead.
- Brand new domains wanting thousands of pages on day one. A pilot on an established site works far better.
- Anyone wanting to spin city names into identical service pages.
Programmatic SEO Pricing
Work with our programmatic SEO agency runs on our monthly SEO retainers, with a 3-month minimum term, and the plan depends on the size of the page set and how much data work it needs. Where a project also needs custom development, such as a new CMS template or data pipeline, we quote that part as a fixed-price build. The main cost drivers are the number of page types, how clean your source data is, how many records need enrichment from other sources, whether written sections are needed on each page, and whether your CMS can already build pages from records.
